Short description of the lecture content
The central topic of this course are typical transport processes, such as heat, mass and momentum transfer. Based on the kinetic theory of gases, equations for the description of transport processes (general transport equation, Fourier’s law, Fick’s law, …) are derived and applied to geometries and boundary conditions typical in engineering. Furthermore, equations for the description of technical problems are derived and solutions to problems are developed with the support of computational methods.
