Short description of the lecture content
The subject of the course is the entire range of vehicle power train systems. From “conventional” combustion engines, over hybrid and electric drives up to fuel cells, various alternatives are covered. Characteristics and (thermodynamic) fundamentals of vehicle drives are discussed and calculated. The course will also include a lab tour, where injection chamber, engine, battery cooling and fuel cell test benches can be examined.
