Safe and efficient storage is essential for a hydrogen-based economy, with liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHCs) enabling reversible storage. This paper describes the successful use of the exhaust gas stream from a porous burner to provide the heat for the endothermic dehydrogenation of hydrogen-rich LOHCs. A focus is placed on the dynamics of the dehydrogenation unit at a maximum hydrogen power of 3.9 kW.
